I got another month to month vacation studio. I don't feel like long stays with a live-in host at an Air BnB is what I need right now. I need my own place and I need it manageable for me right now. So, that's smart I'm doing.

This one is a lot bigger than the one in Miami Beach. I have a ton more kitchen space, counter space, a lot of cupboards and a full size fridge, like an 18.0 cf it looks like. The freezer loaded with turkey breakfast sausage and organic grass fed ground beef and I have the maximum amount that walmart.com will let me order of salmon packets, my produce drawers actually have produce in them, and I have a bunch of pantry stuff in there and I bought a ton of cheese for sandwiches. I think I'm going to do like a tuna melt but with the salmon, some arugula and tomato. Normal shit.

I got several short naps in Saturday but I basically just finished packing when I got back to the Air BnB in the neighborhood across the street from work and then took a nap, then got dressed and packed everything else up that I had it still because I was still using it, requested my Uber XL to fit all my stuff in for the ride over here, and just got started unpacking. I ordered some food delivered after I'd gotten the majority of the unpacking done, and my first move-in walmart.com order for stuff I need, discovered I wasn't going to be able to get a stainless skillet from Walmart same day, so I had to hunt for something from a Doordash vendor. I found an 11" one from a restaurant supply store but when the driver got there, the item was out of stock. But he found me a 12" one same price. So, I now own a 12" stainless skillet. This thing's pretty big but I need to go back up to 4 egg omlets anyway. So, I'll thin out the eggs a little with water and see if I can make a 12" 4-egg omelet...

...I have a shit ton of cheese and four pounds if turkey breakfast sausage, mushrooms and two bags of diced frozen pepper and onion blend. Groceries are way cheaper up here with the exception of Whole Foods. All the locals warned me, their Whole Foods is expensive, but I was so used to all the good deals at the Miami Beach Whole Foods that I didn't believe it, but they were right; It's definitely more expensive than I thought it would be but walmart.com is way more reliable up here and their stock of items is way better and so are their delivery drivers. So, I've switched back from Whole Foods Prime grocery delivery to Walmart+ grocery delivery again and so far so good. I did my grocery order last night, which included 6 bags of rose oil epsom salts, soaked in the bath tub with that for a while, feel asleep there for about 20 minutes, realized I'd been sleeping, got up, ordered me food and continue trying to complete the unpacking task. It's almost done. I'm going to finish it tomorrow.

I had to put in another order for other household goods type things I need in here too, like hand towels and racks for them, dish soap, steel scrubber for my steel skillet, dish cleaning sponge wand thing for dishes and glasses, and a drying rack. I also had to put in an order for a pack of dishes, utensils, and glasses. The place I'm in doesn't furnish them anymore even though their website said they do because people steal them. I really don't mind. At least everying is mine, I'm choosing something that's already in a basic set, and I know what all I'm starting off with.

I ordered just a basic 12 piece white stoneware service for four set, with four dinner plates, four salad plates, and four soup bowls, and the basic 49 piece stainless utensil set from walmart.com that comes with the white organizer tray, and 8-16 oz basic dining glasses. Then I ordered a 6-pack of sage hand towels and three satin nickel over-the-cupboard door towel racks, 2 for the kitchen for hand washing and holding or placing hot things on, and 1 for the bathroom for hand washing, a couple bottles of hand soap, and an over the door six hook rack for purses and back packs.

There's a toaster oven at work, and most of the stuff I'd probably end up toasting would be at work but I think I'm going to order one and stainless baking sheets made for this size toaster oven because all my breads just come out better in the toaster oven if I leave them to bake in a sheet versus in a bread pan. But I'm not going to do that until next pay check. I have a loaf of bread I still need to use. There's a drop in two-burner cooktop here. It looks like a regular electric cooktop. So, I'll have a little more time to prep while waiting for the stainless skillet to heat up enough to put the oil in for the omlet. I always felt like I needed a bit more time between when I set the skillet to heat up on an induction cooktop to finish prepping my coffee to brew while I get started on the omlet.

To me, I feel like half time for the quest line was when the Amtrak cook made my patty melt.I was watching. He's a thoroughly trained and experienced frycook. That's not easy, that short order stuff with specific product standards and a time limit. That was cool. But then I realized the water at the AirBnB wasn't going to get hot I was like, okay, game back on. But finish line is, having the hot water hit, with my rose oil epsom salts, and not having to worry about falling asleep in the bath tub, nobody else needs to use it.

Now that I'm done purchasing most of my new place state pack stuff I think I'll check out the local butcher shop and farmers market and actually start making real foods again. If there are classes in the weekend I think I'll sign up for some food making classes too. I'm obviously still into it and being a trainee is fun when there's not a whole lot at stake. Beginner level is fun.
